The growth of Brazilian Halal meat exports around the world

    The export of Halal meat, a type of meat that 100% follows all the rules of Islamic jurisprudence for consumption by Muslims, is growing more and more, and Brazil leads the ranking of the halal protein export market.  

 

    According to the Chamber of CommerceTo the Brazilian Arabic, the volume of exports of Brazilian bovine halal meat to the EmiratesTo the Arab States grew 439.84% in the year 2019 and with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Brazil has not only increased the amount of exports to the Emirates, but also to the entire block of Arab countries.  According to the executive director at Cdial Halal, Ali Saifi, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Brazil is in a position to expand exports of halal meat to Arab and Asian countries by at least 60%.  

 

    The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Tereza Cristina, announced, in 2019, the opening of the market in Indonesia, a country that has approximately 90% of the Muslim population, for Brazilian beef. Ali Saifi points out that, " The Indonesian market represents a potential of around US$ 80 million".

 

    The export potential of this type of protein is growing, due to the increase in the global Islamic population, which today has billions of followers, added to the fact that, according to studies, by 2070, Islam will be the largest religion in the world.  

 

    In other words, exploring the world consumer market for halal meat is a great choice for those who want to export, as the trend is to increase demand for this type of product.
